Kosmos Stargazing Villa Architectural Design Evolution

One of our most exciting and challenging projects along the journey to construction has been the Stargazing Villa design. Today, we invite you to walk through the five versions our design evolution. We hope that by sharing our creative process, you will find inspiration in our innovation.

Microhaus Sleep Capsule: The introduction of Microhaus sleep capsules proved to be the right step. These efficient capsules were small at 120 sq. ft., but allowed us to create a compact yet comfortable living space.

..And we are still going!

Designing the Kosmos Stargazing Resort & Spa has been a journey of innovation, with each version pushing us to create more sustainably and more luxuriously. Our final architecture design release will be posted on October 1, 2023 as we continue the Kosmos Journey towards construction.

Designing the Kosmos Stargazing Resort & Spa has been a journey of innovation, with each version pushing us to create more sustainably and more luxuriously. Our final architecture design release will be posted on October 1, 2023 as we continue the Kosmos Journey towards construction.

The Versions:

Initial Design: Our journey began with a simple wooden design that reflected our desire for sustainability. However, we soon realized that this dream was both expensive to build and challenging to find local builders for. As much as we loved the initial concept, we had to rethink our approach and find a more practical solution.

Version 2.

Modular Non-Customizable Design: Seeking a more practical solution, we explored container homes from abroad. However, our founder, Gamal, was determined to support local industry and hesitated to order materials from over seas. This idea was a key turning point in moving towards a sustainable, modular villa approach.

Version 3.

Microhaus Sleep Capsule: The introduction of Microhaus sleep capsules proved to be the right step. These efficient capsules were small at 120 sq. ft., but allowed us to create a compact yet comfortable living space.

Version 4.

Making the Villa Luxury: Thinking bigger and wanting to target the luxury tourism market, we added more square footage to our design - including three separate living spaces. During this version of the villa is when the two domes were added to the design, the stargazing spa and planetary dome. Each space provides an elevated experience to the traditional bedroom/bathroom stay.

Version 5.

Connecting All Three Structures: With the help of our visionary architect, we achieved the goal of seamlessly connecting all three structures . Two containers were added to the design, and the stargazing spa was now accessible directly through the bathroom. The dome design was also enhanced to include a loft kitchen, dining space, living room, meditation area, and office space, elevating both aesthetics and functionality. We finalized the design, ensured it was eco-friendly, and perfect for stargazing under the night sky.
